KKS calls are planned ahead from Colombo, with the delivery run scheduled around road transit time so that fresh provisions arrive in condition.

   The local agent lodges the vessel's stores list with Sri Lanka Customs before arrival; late filing is the most common cause of delivery delay.

   Bonded and duty-free stores clear through the Customs Bond Division — allow 24 hours for approval before the delivery window.

   Harbour passes are issued by Sri Lanka Ports Authority security; delivery crew must carry NIC or passport.

   Deliveries to vessels at anchorage or OPL require a licensed supply boat and prior clearance from the Harbour Master.

   Waste and sludge reception must be booked in advance through an SLPA-approved contractor.
